On November 5, 2021, the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO) informed that the annual maximum limit of 600 requests for participating on the fast-track prosecution program Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) has been reached. Therefore, requests submitted until December 31, 2021 will not be accepted by the BPTO.
The maximum limit of 600 requests will be annually renewed until the end of 2024. Therefore, new requests will be again accepted between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022.
