Last Friday (October, 6th), our partner Barbara Zonis mediated the panel “Biopics and works based on facts depend on prior authorization?” of the Rio Market’s 25th edition. The panel was attended by guests Mariza Leão, partner and founder of Morena Filmes, and also by lawyer Claudio Lins de Vasconcellos. Among the main topics addressed, in addition to practical elements, the legal and jurisprudential panorama prevailing in the country before and after the decision of the Supreme Court nº 4815, 2015, which established the unenforceability of authorization by those portrayed in works of this nature.
