BPTO signs a cooperation agreement with Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS)

On August 27, 2019, the BPTO’s president Claudio Vilar Furtado signed with IPOS’ Executive Director, Daren Tang, a memorandum aiming at providing exchange of experiences in areas such as stimulation of innovation and promotion of competition; human resources management, finance and quality control; guidance to end users and the private sector; public and other policies.

On the same day, Claudio Vilar spoke on a business panel at the Global Forum on IP about how investors and businesses may achieve success in emerging markets through the deployment of a good set of Intellectual Property and innovation strategies.

The BPTO shall soon sign a memorandum with the International Trademark Association (INTA) to strengthen government-private sector relations through information exchange and joint organization of round tables, seminars, training and other programs.
