ABPI’s Statement on Law No. 15,1222025 and Decree No. 12,5512025
On July 23, 2025, the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI) issued a technical statement regarding the regulation of Law No. 15,122/2025, enacted through Decree No. 12,551/2025, which provides for the potential adoption of trade retaliation measures, including the suspension of intellectual property rights, in response to trade barriers imposed by other countries.
