MGA at the 17th ENAPID

From September 10 to 12, 2025, the 17th Academic Meeting on Intellectual Property, Innovation, and Development (ENAPID) takes place in Rio de Janeiro.

This hybrid event is organized by the INPI Academy and will be held at the headquarters of Brazil’s National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), in Rio de Janeiro, with a live stream on the Institute’s YouTube channel.

This year’s theme is summed up in three questions: How do IP and innovation shape the future? Which experiences and technologies connect us to what’s next? What challenges lie ahead?

MGA is present in two sessions:

  • Partner Rodrigo Cartaxo presents the paper “Patent-Based Technology Foresight in Cannabis: Global Trends and Implications for Brazil,” co-authored with partner Yuri Poyares. Wednesday (September 10) at 5:44 p.m., Auditorium.
  • Founding partner Marcelo Goyanes presents a lecture about “Artificial Intelligence and Trademarks,” as part of the roundtable “Imagining the Future of Trademarks: Trends, Deadlocks, and Solutions.” Friday (September 12) at 3:30 p.m.
MGA takes part in one of Brazil’s leading forums fostering dialogue among academia, the public sector, and the market in the field of Intellectual Property.
