The Brazilian National Film Agency (ANCINE) intends to regulate the exhibition of audiovisual works funded through public funds in educative channels and public schools

On August 28, 2020, the Brazilian National Film Agency (ANCINE) placed under public consultation the Regulatory Notice which addresses the regulation of Article 27 of the Provisional Measure No. 2.228-01, of 2001. This provision establishes the possibility of exhibiting audiovisual works funded through public incentive funds, after ten years of the works’ commercial release, in public schools and community, legislative and educative channels.

The public consultation will remain available in ANCINE’s website for 30 days, aiming to promote the public debate and submission of propositions to base ANCINE’s possible decision on this matter. In order to participate, you must register through this link.
